Etienne Dufresne is a visual artist and the creator of the photography series Easy Streets. According to his personal website, the Montreal-based Dufresne is a photographer, retoucher, and director who is interested in the phenomenon of ambiguity and the impact of the image in the era of the false.
“By overlaying my street pictures with license-free images, I create ambiguous and surreal scenes. This project is about a return to wandering and intuition,” the artist shared withFubiz.
The artist used his phone to capture the images and to avoid heavy and bulky cameras. From a monkey sitting on a construction truck to a boy taking a shower on a rooftop, the Easy Streets series was elaborated spontaneously during random walks in the neighborhood of Petite-Patrie in Montreal.
