About a year ago, a 12-year-old girl named Rosili Olson learned that the city intended to build a playground near her house. However, Olson was unconvinced by the original plans, considering that the design didn’t seem fitting for her younger siblings to play in.

The young girl then decided to get involved, drawing her perfect playground with crayons and presenting the sketch to the city officials. 

Clearfield’s head of parks was amazed by Olson’s idea but couldn’t change the original plans, considering that the project was well underway. However, the city ended up finding a solution. They decided to build another playground in Bicentennial Park and use Olson’s project.

Olson ended up being the special consultant on the new project, with the workers making sure all of her ideas, even the colors of the slides, matched the perfect playground she imagined.

The new playground opened earlier in October with Olson having the honor to cut the ribbon. The girl said that she is happy her project was successful, especially since her siblings can now have fun.
