Photographer Captures “Hidden Dimension” of New York City’s Skyscrapers

Photographer Navid Baraty loves to capture dramatic landscapes and cities from above. He travels the world looking for unique perspectives with an eye for the hidden and the unseen.

His ongoing series called “Hidden City,” takes us above New York City streets and into skyscrapers, capturing the busy metropolis below. His photos include a reflection of the city through the windows of the buildings, creating dizzying aerial pictures of the Big Apple.

“Over the years I’ve photographed various reflections of NYC seen in the windows of skyscrapers. I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I saw how much of a cityscape can be seen reflected along the edges of glass buildings from on high. It was as if I’d discovered some sort of hidden dimension that had been there all along, waiting to be noticed,” Baraty wrote on one of his Instagram posts.
