]]> Diana Beltran Herrera is a Colombian designer and artist who works with ordinary materials such as cardboard and paper, as the primary medium in the production of her artwork.

She has exceptional skills when it comes to paper. She creates intricate 3D paper sculptures, often reflecting the beauty of birds and nature. She dedicates her time and effort in researching her subjects and getting measurements and proportions right.

Color is also a significant factor and Herrera spends a lot of time finding the right shades and tones of paper.

“It isn’t just looking at a photo and grabbing some scissors to cut the paper,” she explains. “I do a lot of planning, so half the work is getting all the pieces and their measurements,” she told My Modern Met.
