]]>Little Owen and his parents collected over $274,500 so far. Their initial goal was to raise $5,000 and all the attention they got surprised them. Due to a huge number of donations, they’re currently unable to send koalas to everyone, but they encourage people to keep donating through their page.
“Each clay koala represents, not only, a donation of $50 or more to Owen’s gofundme, “Owen’s Australian Creature Rescue”, but also 2 joeys being fed for a month!,” an Instagram post from Owen’s page reads. ]]>Rich left his hometown of Hobart, Tasmania and started traveling along with his cat, Willow. He sold his house, everything he owned, quit his job and started the journey in May 2015. By February 2017, they have visited all 6 states and 2 territories of Australias. Rich now says he can’t imagine this trip without his little companion.
Apparently, Willow enjoys the new lifestyle very much. She’s safe at all times as she explores the nature around their camp thanks to a tracking collar.
