]]> Katie Doka, Copenhagen based miniature artist and a Visual Arts teacher decided to turn her love for birds into a job. Katie creates highly detailed 1:12 scaled miniatures of birds, making them perfect as dollhouse figures and decoration pieces. Her work is done with such precision, that the miniatures look like they will fly away from your palm any second now.

To create the figurines, she uses materials like wool, polymer clays, glass, and jewelry wire. In order to achieve the life-like effect that embellishes her work, Katie developed special techniques and takes great attention when making the eyes, wings, and feet of the birds.
