]]>The duo, who runs a creative studio, Bel & Bel, incorporate parts of real classic scooters into the chairs, creating a unique piece that is both artwork and functional furniture. According to the duo, the project was prompted by their love for vintage vehicles and the style of Corradino D’Ascanio, the Italian engineer behind Vespa.
Bel and Bell create each Scooter Chair by hand. They use the best materials in order to make them both eye-pleasing and comfortable. Additionally, clients are presented with a number of customizable options, ranging from color to added accessories like chrome-plated armrests.
“In addition to reusing some of the most characteristic parts of different models of classic scooters previously restored, we use top quality materials for the finishes. We take care of all the smallest details of the chair so that in addition to being comfortable, it is sturdy,” the pair explains on their website.

]]>The backs of the chairs and benches were inspired by her watercolor paintings. She only made 10 of each design which means the collection is very limited.
“A year ago I embarked on a new direction with the main purpose to satisfy my creativity. With no idea where it would take me, I started drawing and painting in the evenings. The next step was for me to bring these abstract doodle to life and start working in wood,” the artist told Design Milk.
