]]>Wanting to set the bar a little higher regarding her knitting skills, the Amsterdam-based knitter decided to create a doll of her son all grown up, and her ex-husband, who left her after knitting her son.
“I missed him, but I had the love of my knitted son. But when my son also went away to live on his own I thought of knitting a new perfect husband as well. This one is already better than my ex because this one wants to take a selfie with me,” she said in a statement on Bored Panda.
Besides making detailed, realistic-looking pieces, Voorsluijs also describes herself as a textiles enthusiast, knit hysteric, fiber artist, author of 9 craft books. She knits hams, TVs, plants, and everyday stuff with lots of details. Currently, she has reached almost 5,000 followers on Instagram, where you can check out some of the images.
