]]> Emma Taylor’s sculptures are made of books from antique and charity shops, creating a new story out of the pages of a book.

The UK-based artist uses simple materials such as glue, scissors, and paper to sculpt plants, animals, architecture and literary scenes on a manageable scale. Each scene is inspired by the book’s content, with Italian houses emerging from Venice and Its Story and a Grantchester Church made from a book of Rupert Brooke‘s poetry.

Taylor has been book sculpting for many years and has exhibited her books in Cambridge, London, and Hong Kong. She recently opened an online shop starting with a few of her paper-based artworks. She also shares her creations on her Twitter account.
