]]>Lemon grew up in Japan, and she’s always been an artistic soul. Before finding her true calling as a miniature artist, she studied film and media at university and got her Master’s degree in freelance photography. She spent some time working in this industry but decided to switch gears and look for new creative outlets once the pandemic hit.
She decided to create her dream home in a miniature scale, using a wide range of different materials, from air-dry clay to wood and paper. Her own apartment in London is filled with around 60 plants because she wanted to welcome some living things into her space, and they eventually became an essential part of her miniature art.
“In order to create those miniature plants, I needed to study the ones that I had in the flat already. When I was doing this, I realized that none of them were perfect. They had some brown leaves, yellowing, and imperfect shapes. I decided I was not going to ignore that,” she told Ajifa.
