]]> The gorgeous photos below were captured in the Swiss Alps, where photographer Zak van Biljon resides. Born in South Africa, where he graduated from the National College of Photography, Van Biljon emigrated to Zurich (Switzerland), after first passing through Rome and London.

According to him, his idea behind the photos was “to get a fresh look at the beauty of nature in modern times in which we live”. It presents a refreshing (and colorful) look oaf nature, that shies away from greenary.

Van Biljon decided to use infrared technology so that he could create a new way of seeing nature in the 21st century. The infrared photos of nature’s own warm tones create an incredible landscape of undeniable beauty.
