Artist Joshua Flint’s paintings feature blurry lines and unrecognizable faces as he explores the link between the interiority and exteriority of human movement.

“These paintings have a loose narrative of exploring this unknown territory, these liminal spaces, and the people who populate them,” the artist tells This is Colossal. “I continue to explore themes such as memory, ecological issues, pyscho-geography, identity, loss, and transformation.”

As he works on one painting, it usually gives him an idea for the next one. He says that his recent work ins influenced by Rebecca Solnit’s A Field Guide to Getting Lost. His work will be exhibited at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina from March 6th to 28th. You can check out his paintings below.
