Kassiopeya Sachenwerkler is a German artist best known for her reimagination of Salem’s Lot. She says that she has been always fascinated with art, however, she was always lacking any ambition to make a statement with her work.

Nowadays, she describes herself as a “creature and diorama artist” with a passion for building extraordinary book settings and figures. Her latest creation is a special chandelier which she named Shining Oscar.

“The main challenge of this particular project was to keep the weight of the figure as low as possible. After all, the finished octopus chandelier should later be mountable on the ceiling without any problems,” the artist wrote on Bored Panda and added that she used Styrofoam plates, lightweight modeling clay, and plaster bandages.

“So I used a constructional idea that I had previously fancied – the principle of a rotating world,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “This is why my Jerusalem Lot is set upon a rotating disk. Each little twist offers the viewer new perspectives and insights into other parts of the city, into other stories and aspects of its downfall.”
