]]> If you think that pie should not only taste good but also look good, then you’ll love those made by Lauren Ko. This Seattle based writer, artist, and self-taught baker excels in pie design, making delicious pies characterized by mesmerizing shapes and patterns.

Lauren creates a traditional crust which she then combines with colorful fillings that give her baked goods such a unique feel. What makes her pies even more impressive is the fact that she only started baking a few years ago.

“Iโ€™m driven by color and pattern, so Iโ€™m constantly brainstorming color combinations and geometric patterns that I think I can replicate with pie dough [and] fruit,”- Lauren explains her creative process. “What I create during a particular baking session is also often informed by produce that is in season and whatโ€™s currently in my fridge. My final products are generally happy accidents.”

Weave it all to chance. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ| Iโ€™m going camping this weekend and itโ€™s bound to be in tents. โ›บ I didnโ€™t grow up doing a lot of nature-y things beyond laying on the beach, but since moving to Washington, opting outside has become sโ€™more than a feeling.
