Big corporations tend to go all-in when it comes to their Super Bowl ads, and they stayed true to that tradition this year. Some of the commercials we’ve seen during the Big Game quickly became viral sensations, and here are a few that had everyone talking.

Doritos

We didn’t think things can get much better than Sam Elliott reciting the lyrics of “Old Town Road,” but Doritos blew our minds by showing him have an epic dance-off with the mastermind behind this smash-hit, Lil Nas X.

Jeep

Did you ever dream of seeing Bill Murray star in a sequel to Groundhog Day? Jeep’s new ad is the closest thing you’ll get to it, and he seems to be enjoying reliving the same day over and over again in this version.

Planters

Planters brought Mr. Peanut back as “Baby Nut” in their Super Bowl ad, and no matter how bizarre the whole thing was, it went viral in a matter of seconds.

Rocket Mortgage

Speaking of bizarre – this commercial for Rocket Mortgage features a side of Jason Momoa we’ve never seen before, and we wouldn’t judge you if it gave you nightmares.

The 2010s ushered a new era in music as total unknowns can now use the internet to become overnight sensations. This cultural shift gave us dozens of songs we wouldn’t have heard otherwise, and here are a few viral hits that defined this decade.

Rebecca Black – Friday

Rebecca Black was only 13 when she dropped this viral hit, and despite the fact it was a total train wreck – the world just couldn’t stop listening.

Baby Shark Dance

With over four billion views and counting, Baby Shark is still one of the most viewed videos of all time and the catchiest children’s song we’ve heard this decade.

PSY – Gangnam Style

“Gangnam Style” was one of those songs we loved to hate during the 2010s, and led to countless parodies that were just as hilarious as the original.

Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee – Despacito

Not all viral hits have to be terrible, and Despacito is a case in point. It still holds the record for the most viewed and liked song on YouTube, and many people credit it for renewing interest in Latin music around the world.

Lil Nas X – Old Town Road

“Old Town Road” is one of the recent additions to the list of the biggest viral hits of the decade, but it’s also the first to spend nineteen consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to TikTok and memes.
