]]> Two years ago, Elsa Boucinha decided to try and make some toys for her newborn child but she didn’t have any prior sewing experience. Elsa wasn’t discouraged with failed attempts and some minor injuries she suffered along the way, and eventually got really good at making toys.

This is how Mauvais Marie collection of toys was born. These quirky animal stuffed toys quickly gained fans among moms and their kids all over the world thanks to Elsa’s unique characters like Felicia the Fox, Stella the Stork, Marvin the Monkey, Calvin the Cat and many others.

According to Boucinha, the designs of her toys were inspired by the fables of Jean de La Fontaine.
