]]> When you think of Michelin Star-winning restaurants, you probably imagine a fancy place in which the portions of food are small, and prices are big. Well, it turns out that doesn’t always have to be the case. Recent Michelin Guide for Tottori, Japan, gave a Michelin Star to a Hot Air used car dealership for their $7 ramen.

Being always passionate about food, especially ramen, the car shop’s owner Katsumi Yoshida decided to turn the Hot Air’s meeting place into a small food joint. In 2012, Yoshida started serving ramen, and the news quickly spread around with more people starting to visit Hot Air to eat rather than to buy a car.

 Eventually, Michelin inspectors decided to try the ramen, which costs around $7 a bowl and were equally impressed, giving Yoshida the prestigious Michelin Star. This made Hot Air one of the cheapest places in the world featured in Michelin Guide.

So, if you are low on cash and want a Michelin Star-worthy food, you know where to go.
