Line By Line Posters are handwritten prints in ink, created by artist Mike Matola. What makes his work stand out is his amazing endurance in creating each piece of art.

He makes portraits by handwriting entire scripts and song lyrics to outline the images. Each silhouetted poster is brought to life by drawing line by line between spaces.

His artworks include a handwritten description of famous actors, movie characters and musicians. Each piece can take about 80 hours to complete, displaying Matola’s unbelievable dedication to his art.

“The poster was made by sitting down and writing out each word with a pen, line by line, down the page and increasing and decreasing the space between the letters until the portrait emerged,” Matola shared according to My Modern Met. Up close, you can see immeasurable tiny characters in black ink, spread across the page. From afar, his handwritten typography blends together to create the image.
