]]> Kids often have a vivid imagination and plenty of creative energy, but not enough skill to transfer the things they can imagine onto paper for the world to see. To encourage kids to develop imagination and follow their creative potential, artists from all over the world have created The Monster Project – the project in which they bring children’s doodles to life.

After the little ones draw monsters they imagine in their heads, artists add their own touch and elevate them to a new level. The upgraded illustrations are then delivered back to the kids to teach them about new art techniques.

The Monster Project has officially made its German Debut! We are proud to announce the opening of our Monster Project gallery in Berlin, presented by The Urban Nation Museum of Contemporary Art. @urbannationberlin. Together with over 50 kids and 50 artists, we created an exhibition of monstrous proportions that you won't want to miss. You can see the monsters in person now through Sept. 30, 2018 at Bülowstraße 97 (Open Tues–Sun, 10–6 PM). For those of you who aren't able to make the live show. Check out the online gallery from the link in our bio. We are also offering many of the monster artworks for sale to help us raise funds to continue our work as well as to benefit the children's hospice Berliner Herz. Check out the link in our bio to go to the shop.

Our newest program, Monster Project UNITE, really kicked off with a bang!! For those of you who don’t know, Monster Project UNITE is an open illustration prompt that invites artists to reimagine a new kid’s monster drawing every two weeks to share to Instagram. We sent out our first prompt two weeks ago and received SO MANY AMAZING ENTRIES (check out #monsterprojectunite to see them all). It was so difficult to choose a winner, but we’ve finally decided on this incredible piece by @artelenaselivanova 🙌 We love how Elena captured the vibe of Ruben’s monster (swipe to see his drawing) but added her own beautiful environment. It’s a true collaboration! Elena will receive a Monster Project Art Book as a prize for her amazing work. . Congratulations to all the artists who joined in—we are blown away by the creativity, and it’s just so cool to see all the different interpretations. Bravo! Our newest program Monster Project UNITE has been going strong for the last 2 months! For those of you who don't know, Monster Project UNITE is an open illustration prompt that invites artists to reimagine a new kids drawing every two weeks to share on instagram. (Check out #monsterprojectunite to see them all) Our last prompt came to us from 12 year old Caleb. To ring in Halloween (the most monstrous of holidays) and to celebrate the community, we held a contest with this prompt. Picking a winner was insanely difficult with all the great submissions, but we finally decided on this amazing work of art from @louisminnaar. The details, textures, and personality is all incredible and it truly captures the spirit of Caleb's original monster. Louis will be receiving a copy of our Monster Project Art Book as well as our Monster Project Activity Book! Woo! Congratulations to all of the artists that joined in on the fun. We cant wait to see what you have in store for our current prompt! If you would like to join in on the monster making fun, follow the link in our bio to sign up for Monster Project UNITE emails!
