]]>After dedicating the past years to traveling full time, they decided to settle down in Magnetic Island on the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland, Australia, sharing their island adventures online.
The idea to travel, explains Evie, came after some reflection. “I’ve always thought that in 10 years, my daughter Emmie wouldn’t thank me for installing a brand new kitchen and bathroom in our home, but she would thank me for filling her early years with amazing experiences, learnings, and sights and sounds from around the world,” she wrote on her website.
“I’ve realized that working until I retire and then finally doing what makes me happy is not what I want my life to be about,” she adds. “I don’t want to work all through Emmie’s childhood. I want to enjoy our time together now and learn, explore, and adventure together.”
Her life-changing choice didn’t go unnoticed, with some 110,000 followers on Instagram alone.
We wish the two well on their journeys. In the meantime … here are some enviable highlights from their dedicated Instagram page!

]]>With a Master of Arts in communication and cultural studies, Zolubak realized her artistic passion through hard work. “I have been drawing as a child, also as a teenager,” she told Strangerless, talking about the long road she took until realizing her true calling. “I’ve always been creative in one way or another but then… life happened. I wanted to study something creative but was convinced that to make a living it was a much better choice to study something else, something substantial. Although surely one could argue that Cultural Science, which I chose and concluded with a Master of Arts (sic!), wasn’t the best choice for earning money either.”
After moving out from home at the age of 17 she studied, worked as a translator, and inadvertently stopped drawing. “I had a wound in my heart, yet I thought I understood that adult life was not supposed to be fun,” she said. “It was just supposed to work out and therefore you needed to compromise, work and be serious. Creativity was put aside and labeled as a childish wish.”
Now she works full time as an illustrator, making editorial illustrations and personalised and individual illustrations; and proving, therefore, that work can be both serious and fun. With a passion for traveling and a huge love for all things creative, she’s inspired by different cultures, languages, and music.

]]>Above all else, however, Jomard prides herself on being a mother. Whether it’s on her blog or via her illustrations, Jomard imbues her creative talents with humor and sarcasm, as well as her personal experiences. Her comic series is one that all mothers (especially those who know French), would probably relate to.
With roughly around 53.8k followers on Instagram alone (and growing), it’s safe to say that Jomard’s experiences, as depicted on her comics, are both accurate and hilariously illustrated.
