He always loved exploring the woods around his home, and his love for the forest inspired him to become a mushroom coach at the German Society for Mycology, in addition to becoming a certified course instructor at the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health.
Schmid’s art is inspired by the magic of the forest, and mushrooms usually take center stage in his work. He enjoys arranging them into colorful displays that celebrate the amazing diversity of the fungi world.
Schmid’s art attracted over 50,000 followers to his Instagram page, but social media isn’t his only way to channel his love for mushrooms. He also enjoys hosting workshops and retreats in the Berlin area for fellow nature lovers who want to learn more about the fascinating world of fungi.
