]]> Natalie Byrne overcame many ups and downs of her own, and she now wants to be a guiding light to other people. This talented illustrator is using her platform to tackle many issues that people used to stay silent about in her youth, in the hope her voice will help others get to a better place.

Byrne is a Latina artist based in London, who discovered her love for digital art while she was still in high school. She decided to pursue her passion by studying graphic design at Sheffield Hallam University and developed her signature style when she decided to tackle a wide range of social issues through her bright and vibrant illustrations. 

Byrne’s illustrations come from a place and honesty and vulnerability, and she was touched to see how many people related to them.

“I never really thought when I was drawing about my problems that it would connect with so many and also turn into a career. I was just drawing about my own personal discoveries in therapy and sharing it because I knew it would have helped me get to a better place sooner,” she told Studio 77.

In addition to sharing her illustrations on social media and collaborating with such high-profile brands as BBC, Canon, Nike, and Vans, Byrne also illustrated Sinéad Burke’s book Break the Mould.
