A recent video posted on Inside Edition shows a mailman trying to deliver a package to one family. After realizing that no one is home, he considers taking it back to the office in order to avoid “porch pirates” stealing it. That’s when the homeowner starts communicating with him via a security camera.

In a conversation that followed, the mailman describes that the package arrived from a family member and that he usually doesn’t leave mail out in the open if it didn’t arrive from a store. After the homeowner say’s it’s ok to leave the box, the man then comes up with a great solution and suggests that he leaves it in a recycling bin.
