]]> They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but what if the cover in question was created by Posies & Pages? This Instagram page was founded by Kan, a book lover from New Zealand, who loves painting over the covers of her favorite books and transforming them into works of art.

Like most book lovers with a limited budget, Kan couldn’t afford to buy beautifully decorated special editions, so she decided to try creating her own. She decided to put her creativity to some good use and started painting over the covers of the old editions of her favorite books.

Posies & Pages’ viral videos see Kan transforming the timeless classics we all know and love, such as Charles Dickens’ The Great Expectations, Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, and Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre. In addition to painting the covers, she also enjoys making bookmarks that match the vibe of these books and decorating their pages with immersive pop-up details.

Book lovers will feel right at home while browsing through Posies & Pages’ Instagram and TikTok because Kan also enjoys recommending books worth reading every once in a while. She’s also planning to share her skills with other people by organizing “The Regency Book Club Retreat”, taking place in Bath, England this spring.
