]]>For the past 20 years, Barsky has been knitting sweaters based on places and attractions he would like to visit. After he finishes, he travels to the location and takes a picture while wearing the sweater.
“The first sweater I made of a specific landmark was the Tower Bridge in London,” Barsky told Forbes. “I was inspired by a picture I saw in a magazine. I had never been there before and did not make it for a specific trip. But, once I started knitting more landmarks, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Venice, I knew I wanted to go there while wearing them.”
Since then, Barsky has knitted close to 140 sweaters and visited almost every location that is stitched on them. The Pyramids in Egypt and the Eiffel Tower in Paris are still on his travel bucket list, but he should cross them off soon as the sweaters are already there.
