A Japanese town named Soka in Saitama Prefecture achieved a Guinness World Record for creating an enormous Mona Lisa painting made of rice crackers!

Around 200 residents recreated the iconic painting of Leonardo da Vinci using 24,000 crackers that were dyed in seven different colors. They used assorted flavours like matcha green tea, soy sauce and sugar. The rice crackers were laid out at a huge gym to form the painting which is 13-meter-long and 9-meter wide.

The town created a painting of Mona Lisa out of rice crackers to promote their local specialty called ‘Soka Senbei’. They invited the officials from the Guinness World Records to witness the massive project and it was certified by the Guinness officials as “the world’s largest mosaic made of the treat.”
