]]> Recently, Indian street artist Daku installed an immersive text-based artwork in 31st January Road, Panjim, Goa.

The fishnet structure with attached inverted words was placed above where the sunlight can cast its shadows on the streets.  As pedestrians walk underneath the installation, they can see words that read: “Time moves. Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind. Time works wonders.” The temporary artwork, called Theory of Time, was supported by the public art nonprofit organization, StartIndia.

St+art Goa || @daku156 || ‘Theory of Time’ #startgoa What is time? As the sun goes up on the warm streets of Panjim, Goa, Daku's installation on the 31st January Road comes to life. Walking underneath a fishnet with inverted words attached on top, the installation plays with text and shadows to reinstate the notion of 'Time' being ephemeral. As pedestrians walk under the installation, they are presented with words that read: "Time works wonders. Time moves. Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind. Time fades. Time is an illusion." Their shadow being cast lo get as the sun rises and sets through the day. St+art Goa // WIP // @daku156 #startgoa x @serendipityartsfestival The ingenious work of Indian street artist Daku is being realised at the 31st January road in Panjim, Goa. Working with the concept of letters, shadows and ‘Time’, Daku has created an extensive panel using fishing nets with the words pasted on top, to create a canopy right in the middle of the street. This work has been hard to accomplish and eased by the amazing efforts of the volunteers of the Serendipity Arts Festival that helped to bring this installation to life. Built almost entirely through the concept of time, and how it plays a significant yet ambiguous role in our lives, this piece required about 12 stands to install and is bound to amaze its audience with its effects. 📸@pranavgohill Festival supported by @asianpaints, in collaboration with @serendipityartfestival. #artforall #asianpaints #startindia #startgoa #publicart #serendipityartsfesttival
