]]> Tiana Maros is a Vienna-born fine artist who uses 3D modeling, 2D digital painting, traditional painting, and photography to create her artwork. Her latest project called SkinDeep represents a series of large paintings that show off “its own feeling.”

“I had to find a way to deal with the intensity of my emotions in a productive way,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “I decided to paint my feelings as a way of letting them out and at the same time help others relate to the experience of being me. After completing each painting the feeling left my body and stuck to the canvas like a dreamcatcher.”

Maros is currently in a search for a gallery that will represent her and her series. She also likes sharing her artwork on her social media accounts, mostly on Instagram.

Saudade 100x150cm Oil on canvas . As most of you might know, i work on a series called SkinDeep in which i attempt to convey my emotions figuratively in oil paint. i worked on this painting on and off for months and it never felt completed cause the feeling never really left me. today i decided it was time to let it go. And because this painting is so complex in emotion for me, I had a hard time finding a title for this painting. As there’s no word in the English language for the feeling I have felt and still feel after I painted this. Finally I found a word that pinned it down in Portuguese. Saudade is a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. It was once described as “the love that remains” after someone is gone. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing might never return.
