]]> Flying can be a stressful experience. You’re usually on a tight schedule, meaning one thing going wrong can throw off the entire journey; you spend hours in a cramped space full of strangers, and you’re far from home. Even the most experienced travelers feel exhausted at the end of a long flight. The San Francisco International Airport has found the perfect solution to this problem: Meet the Wag Brigade.

The Wag Brigade consists of 22 lovely dogs and one therapy pigs with one mission: to greet the passengers coming through the airport, provide support and comfort, and relieve their stress.

This unique program is a special collaboration between San Francisco International Airport and the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The idea is to help passengers manage the stress involved in air travel and to introduce the public to dogs that are certified by the Animal Assisted Therapy Program. The dogs, who are social media stars on their own account, put their skills to good use and enjoy spending time with people, and travelers from all over the world get a better, easier experience at the airport.
