]]>For the people who are working over at the UK-based blog, Viking Direct, fun is somewhat of a daily occurrence in their office. Like, for example, when their bosses decided to put up a giant cardboard castle, which they aptly named as a “giant fortress”. Or, how about the time they created a wall art dedicated to Star Wars?
And just when you thought that they could not top their previous attempts off, Viking Direct does something truly amazing.
Hiring UK-based paper artist, Andy Singleton, Viking Direct decided to surprise their employees come Monday morning, just in time for the premiere of Season 8 of HBO’s hit fantasy epic, Game of Thrones, with a 13-meter long Dragon made entirely out of paper. Yes, you read that right. The UK-based blog commissioned a fire-breathing dragon made out of one of the most flammable substances in the world.
Of course, the dragon doesn’t actually breathe fire, but it’s menacing just the same. Not to mention, the actual result is a lot less ridiculous as it sounds. Might I say, it is actually quite amazing?

“I also think some of the paper pieces I produce as artworks would lend themselves to being reproduced or fabricated in other materials. I also like the idea of working with another material directly, with a hands on exploration of what it can do. I hope you will be seeing this from me in a few years time in various forms,” he said in a 2013 interview with Strictly Paper.
