]]>Pérolas & Amor (Pearls & Love in Portuguese) is a fashion brand based in Rio de Janeiro, and they specialize in making exclusive bead bags and accessories. A variety of different beads are used in the making of their unique bags, but they caught our attention with accessories made out of classic plastic beads that have a pixelated feel.
Plastic beads give Pérolas & Amor’s bags and other accessories a retro vibe because they look like they’ve been made of countless tiny pixels. They’re a true labor of love, and a lot of patience and attention goes into every single bag because it takes hours to complete them.
Another thing that gives Pérolas & Amor’s bags a retro vibe are the subjects they explore, often rooted in popular culture. Many of their designs are inspired by beloved cartoon characters such as Hello Kitty, Stitch, SpongeBob, and Minions, making it seem like they’ve jumped out of our TV screens into the real world.
