]]>Tsoooki’s illustrations are painted by hand in her home in Paris, where she lives with her adorable cat Soja. They’re inspired by nature, animals, nostalgia, and fantasy, and she’s hoping that everyone who sees them will be transported to a magical world where they can wander and wonder at the same time.
The name of her brand hails from the Hungarian word “cukor”, which can be translated as sugar, and its a homage to her heritage.
“The mother tongue of my great-grandmother was Hungarian and she used to greet all of her grandchildren with this adorable name. This was also the name that was given to my very first stuffed animal doll… It holds such a sugary sweet connection to my Hungarian heritage, to my grandparents and my childhood,” she wrote on her official website.
There’s an aura of coziness surrounding each of Tsoooki’s illustrations, and they make it pretty clear that cats hold a special place in her heart. Most of her drawings show them living their best lives, doing everything from wearing cozy sweaters and scarves to having naps on window sills.
