]]> When it comes to cuteness, it’s hard to compete with dachshund dogs. Embodying the essence of “aww”, their miniature stature and playful personalities make them the ideal pet.

Recently we’ve taken to a miniature longhaired dachshund named Winston. And if cuteness is a virtue, Winston is one of its saints. “Winston is the most amazing creature in the world,” gushed his owner, Ana, in an interview with helloBARK!. “He is kind, loving, smart and protective.”

Which naturally makes him a good candidate for Instagram stardom. His online presence was further reinforced after some 100 people attended his first birthday party in Hyde Park—an event that was commemorated in The New York Times (because, why not?).

With almost 14,000 fans on Instagram, Winston also collaborates with brands like Edgard Cooper, Purplebone, and The Rockster. But most of his day consists of naps and pets.

“After he is done with his morning beauty sleep, he has his breakfast and we go for a walk in the park,” says Ana. “The rest of the day is: siesta after the walk, wake, play, have dinner, do commands training with food from the family dinner, play some more, a quick walk around the block and signing off for the day.”

]]> Nowadays, not many people actually send physical postcards and it’s a real shame. Even though communication is quicker and much more efficient now, there’s something romantic about old-school letters and postcards that are a rare sight today.

That’s exactly why we consider this adorable dog so lucky. A dachshund named Alfie has his own postcard collection that you can buy and send to other people. Alfie lives in Essen and “works” as a model and comedian. He’s a star on Instagram and the main character on Alfie’s Greetings postcards. See them below (swipe right) or on the website. We’ve also included other cute photos of Alfie.

After intensive and careful thinking I have started to design my own greeting cards. I had a little (only a little!) bit of help from my mama who took me as an inspiration. I created four Christmas/winter cards and some cards for everyday use. (Birthdays etc) . . All cards with an A6 size are my own designs and printed in-house on 300g thick card with texture. Since I am already on the naughty list with Santa Paws, I try my luck with the Christkind. So, write a card with your wishes, put it on the windowsill, leave the window open a bit, otherwise the Christkind or its angels can't come in and then keep all your fingers crossed. I helped Santa Paws all night long with my Beagle uncle Dusty. That was so exhausting that Dusty immediately lost 2 grams of his Beagle flab. . WOOF?! • – Hello human, there’s somebody at the door and wants to come in. Can I bark please? – No Alfie, not today okay? – Okay. • Wouldn’t it be nice if you could tell this to that little rascal and he would be quiet ? That dachshunds are stubborn and like to bark is a well known fact. Alfie doesn’t bark non stop, but he has a problem when guests come over. (Shame on me that I like to invite people! :D) He thinks he has to defend his territory against strangers and doesn’t listen anymore. (Fun fact: 5 minutes later he likes to kiss our guests.)
