]]> “If you could use a little bit of joy & laughter, you’ve come to the right place!”, reads Tuna’s Instagram bio. The Chiweenie (a mix between a Chihuahua and a Dachshund) has indeed won the internet over, thanks to his exaggerated overbite, recessed jaw, and magnificent wrinkly neck.

Over the years, Tuna’s Instagram handle, Tuna Melts My Heart, has gained a massive following, with some 2 million fans to date (and counting!). Scrolling through his page, it’s easy to see why. But at least according to his owner, Courtney Dasher, the internet craze came as a total surprise.

In fact, when she created his account, back in 2011, she had no agenda to garner a large following. What she did recognize was that Instagram could be a catalyst to bring people joy through Tuna’s pictures. This online love would later translate into real life.

“One woman showed up to a book signing who had agoraphobia—she hadn’t left her house in years,” Dasher shared an unconventional reaction to her pup in an interview with Vice. “This woman got over her fear, just to meet Tuna!”

A true underdog, Tuna was adopted in December of 2010 at a Farmers Market in LA when he was a four-month-old puppy. But by the end of 2012, he was well on his way to stardom. His notoriety grew on Instagram when they featured a picture of him on their personal page, unbeknownst to Dasher.

“This unconventional-looking dog is being used to bring joy and make people happy,” says the proud mother.

“There was a point where I had an interior design boutique business, as well as a 9–5 job working in a design center, along with a social life, and a dog and his Instagram,” she adds.

“I had to prioritize what was important. I felt like this was my opportunity to make a positive difference in the world, so I took a leap of faith.”

Mehmet has been a dog stylist for years, and it seems that he couldn’t have chosen this career at a better time. Just a generation ago, we used to wash our four-legged friends in our back yards with a hose, and maybe brush their fur once or twice a year. But today, more and more pets lovers wish to have their furry companions just as stylish as them. Mehmet is there just for that – his skill with sheers, love of animals and calm, relaxed manner allow him to groom and style any puppy’s fur into perfection.

Mehmet has been documenting his work process on Instagram and quickly became a social media star. After all, is there anything more wholesome and relaxing than watching happy doggies enjoy a bath and a professional blowout?

Of course, all dogs are beautiful and love-worthy, no matter the state of their fur, but there’s something so satisfying in watching Mehmet take a dirty puppy with wind-blown fur and turn it into a style icon.

]]> Going to the hospital isn’t fun, especially when you’re a kid. You come in feeling sick, have to wait in cold, empty hallways, strangers poke and prod at you, and the worst part of all – you’re surrounded by unfamiliar, loud, scary machines. From simple statoscopes to the MRI machine – the first encounter can be terrifying, and most kids just aren’t emotionally equipped for such an ordeal.

The crew at Southampton Children’s Hospital realized how big of a problem this is, and came up with a creative solution to make their young patients feel more comfortable and protected in the hospital. They hired a team of specialists to boost morale and to accompany the kids and give emotional support when needed. It just so happens that this team is made entirely of golden retrievers.

Milo, Hattie, Quinn, Jessie, Leo, and Archie are SCH’s four-legged emotional support team. These specially-trained dogs know exactly how to make a child feel loved and safe, and are more than happy to do so. They greet the new kids at the hospital door, come with them to procedures and bring them solace when they’re scared.

The most important part of their job is pretty unique – if a child is scared of a test, one of them will hop on to the examination table and let the doctors and nurses check them first, showing the kids that the examinations are safe and pain-free.

This team of good boys is now an inseparable part of the NCH’s crew, and we hope they keep bringing smiles to the faces of many more children in the future.

]]> Imagine this – you go into a café to get your morning dose of caffeine but inside you find something even better – a litter of cute little corgis playing around your feet!

Sounds like a dog lover’s heaven, right? Well, you don’t have to imagine it anymore, because Corgi in the Garden is the café that takes special pride in allowing you this pleasure!

The café is located in Bangkok, Thailand, and other than great coffee and cake, it provides its customers with a sweet hangout with no less than thirteen vivacious corgis. The owner, Tanchanok Kanawong, is a huge fan of the breed. From her own experience, corgis are incredibly easy-going and fun-loving dogs so it’s a real joy being around them.

Dean, Quinn, Porkchop, Pumpkin, Salmon, Bean, Bone, Babycorn, Blossom, Bluebell, Barley, and Buttercup are the twelve corgis that brighten up the day to anyone that walks into the café, and now they have a new adorable back-up, Marmalade, the youngest of them all.

In order for this hard-working adorable staff to stay happy and healthy, the café organizes one-hour sessions with the puppies, which allows these cuties to get the rest they need in between, as well as three workouts per day. Check out the happy family in the photos below!

]]> The Instagram community just welcomed a new member and potentially a new big star among dog lovers. A dog named Lucky is threatening to steal many hearts on social media thanks to his unique features.

Lucky has one brown eye and one pale blue eye, and above that adorable blue eye is a long black mark that looks like an eyebrow. His owner Charice Fca Cha from Thailand, claims that people often ask if the eyebrow is fake and they find it hard to believe how perfect this mark is.   

Charice adopted this adorable two-year-old dog after seeing an add on the Internet.

“I saw a post on Facebook that said that Lucky needs to find a new home. When I saw his face, I immediately knew I wanted him so I contacted the owner to adopt him. I was surprised by his appearance but I thought he is perfect and very unique,” Lucky’s owner told Bored Panda.

Three weeks ago Charice shared Lucky’s photos online and she was blown away by the feedback they’ve received. People immediately fell in love with Lucky and we can already guess that he’s going to take over Instagram very soon.
