]]>“I was very nervous because I came on to talk about something that I love dearly. Our mother earth and what I can do to help. I have a mission to get rid of single-use plastic water bottles. To clean up our oceans and land. To ask ourselves how we hydrate. Even though I may carry a canteen to try to reduce these plastics are still being made. All I’m trying to do is give the US an option. Do my part. The world needs changes and this is another option. Aluminum is the most recyclable packaging available, it’s infinitely recyclable. “So here’s the thing, because we throw footballs and baseballs, everyone kind of turns it like this,” Momoa explained to DeGeneres, demonstrating the right way to throw an axe. “It has to go straight over your head … it has to go right with the grain.”

]]>Momoa recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, which skyrocketed to trending pretty quickly, which shows him in a desert shaving his massive beard while revealing that he last did this in 2012. In the video, he is also encouraging the viewers to take care of the environment and use recyclable aluminum.
“Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA!” – Momoa captioned the video. “I’m shaving this beast off, it’s time to make a change. A change for the better…for my kids, for your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet. Let’s clean up our oceans and our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make a switch to INFINITELY RECYCLABLE aluminum. Water in cans, NOT plastic.”
It turned out that the video was a campaign for a new line of canned water Jason Momoa is launching with Ball Corporation. Still, his beard being gone isn’t a trick and we really don’t know how to feel about it.
