]]>Kolo has been sharing his works on TikTok, and they have been picking up quite a lot of attention, landing him loads of new followers and even an interview with The Washington Post.
According to Kolo, he started re-designing random flyers and posters during a period of “creative rut”. One day, he was walking around the city and noticed a flyer posted by a board game enthusiast looking for similar-minded people.
Kolo couldn’t stop thinking about the flyer, so he decided to re-vamp it, making it eye-catching and more efficient in conveying its message. He then returned to the same spot and placed it next to the original.
“When I see something poorly designed, it’s in me to imagine how I would do it differently,” Kolo told The Washington Post. “That got me really excited.”
Soon, Kolo saw his creative spark lit up again, and he started giving a makeover to other poorly-designed flyers and posters. He was particularly targeting small businesses and charitable efforts, who could benefit from his work.
Kolo’s re-designs became a hit on social media, regularly generating hundreds of thousands of views. Check out more of them below.
