MrBeast, the world’s most popular YouTuber, recently released a new viral video that showed some of the world’s best athletes compete with fans for a money prize. The highlight of the video was a soccer fan beating soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in a $1 million contest.

The video started off with a high school football player, Jake, competing with Tom Brady, the best player in NFL history, for a $100,000 prize. The goal of the competition was to pop the balloons at progressively longer distances with a football. If Jake won, he would get the money in his account, and if Brady won, he would get to donate the $100K to charity of his choice.

Surprisingly, Jake managed to beat Brady, who wasn’t all that sorry for the loss and even encouraged his opponent to perform better than him.

Later in the video, Olympic gold medal-winning sprinter Noah Lyles races a fan in a 200 meters race, Philadelphia Phillies’ star slugger Bryce Harper takes on a fan in a Home Run Derby, and amateur golfer tries to beat two-time major championship winner Bryson DeChambeau on a golf course. To level the playing field, each fan was given some kind of advantage. Lyles and DeChambeau managed to win the money for charity, while Harper ended up losing.

The biggest showdown came at the end, when Ronaldo and a soccer fan named Khalid were pitted against each other in a contest that required them to hit targets with a soccer ball. Ronaldo had the opportunity to donate $1 million to a charity while the fan got the chance to walk away as a millionaire.

Ronaldo ended up missing all of his attempts, while Khalid hit three targets and won the $1 million.

Check out this highly entertaining video, which got close to 100 million views in a couple of days, below.

Even if you don’t watch YouTube videos often, you probably know who MrBeast is. Real name Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast gained popularity for his elaborate videos and philanthropic endeavors that made him the most subscribed individual on the platform.

This week, Donaldson uploaded a new video that sees him visiting Africa and building wells in areas that struggle with access to clean water. According to the Youtuber, his project has provided more than half a million people with a source of clean water in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Cameroon, and Namibia, among other countries.

Besides building wells, Donaldson also helped villages and its residents in various other ways. He gifted soccer balls and bikes to kids, donated computers to schools and equipment to hospitals, and even financed the construction of a bridge.

Donaldson doesn’t intend to stop there and has started a fundraiser that aims to help bring clean water to as many African communities as possible.

MrBeast’s video immediately became viral, reaching close to 50 million views in less than two days while earning him praise from around the world. There was also some negative criticism, with some social media users believing he was using the project for self-promotion. Donaldson addressed the criticism on X, writing that he intends to continue to “use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.”
