Filip Hodas is a gifted artist best known for his illustrations where he imagined pop culture icons in a dystopian future. Recently, the Czech 3D artist surprised his fans with a series of anatomically correct skulls of your favorite childhood cartoon characters. Growing up, Hodas loved learning about dinosaurs, bones, and skulls.

“I was really into dinosaurs and their fossils as a little kid. When I got older, I thought skulls were very badass, so I would draw them often,” the artist shared in a state for Bored Panda. “Skulls were among the first things that I had at least some idea of how to sculpt. The first one I was proud of looks terrible in retrospect!”

Characters like Minnie Mouse, Tweety, Sponge Bob, and Goofy are featured in his gallery. In the description, the artist put their hilarious zoological names and the year when their character first aired.

This dark themed artist uses oil paint, and this gives his art a unique look. Oil paint on canvas has been a trend for so many years. Did you know that the Mona Lisa was oil painted as well?

Despite being horror themed, it reflects creativity and talent. Aside from painting skulls, this artist also paints humans and movie characters. His recent work included Mike Tyson, the famous boxer, and a character from the movie “The Nun.”

Vanessa Davis is a makeup artist who describes herself as “The Skulltress.” Seeing her works, we can say she deserves to be called one.

Davis loves to paints skulls and uses her beautiful face as canvas. Her facial art does not include simple skulls but features incredibly intricate drawings with vivid colors. Her collection of face paints are so remarkable, it catapulted her to fame, gaining more than 700k followers on Instagram.

Using colorful cosmetics, she paints diverse skull patterns that either cover her whole face or just part of it. Her artworks are not limited to skulls alone, she also designs other things such as butterflies, fish, birds, and many more. But the skull theme is her favorite.

“I noticed that the successful makeup accounts specialized in either a particular style or subject, so I chose skulls, which also worked as my heritage in Mexican and English. I’m fascinated by how skulls are portrayed in fashion, art and tattoo art, particularly by Alexander McQueen and Damien Hirst,” she told Awesomebyte.

Cupid ♥🏹🧒🏼☁ This is a collaboration with @edmundbossmanhair Wig designer and wig maker, who created the wig of my DREAMS for this Valentine’s makeup! I was originally inspired by 1940’s Valentine’s Day cards and started looking at cherubs and cupids and then @abbyrobertsartistry created a beautiful rendition on herself and @nikkietutorials The clouds were inspired by @capricorrn and the cherub references I looked at were Raphael’s painting The Triumph of Galatea, various illustrations and one tattoo.
