Elena Juno is an artist whose work is influenced by her synesthesia, a condition where she sees shapes and colors when she hears music. For Juno drawing is a way of thinking and according to her, she can’t draw without listening to songs that inspire her.

“I like to draw broken people,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “Faces that inspired me pain, isolation, rejection. It’s my little way to remember the outsiders, the forgotten. Those are the people that interest me, the ones that have a background. Life is also pain and there is no shame or toxicity accepting that.”

The artist shares her work on her Instagram page called elena_juno where she has attracted more than 1.8 thousand followers. She also has a website where she hand-prints her drawings on paper and T-shirts.

Artists usually paint the things they see or imagine. But Melissa McCracken took a different path, painting the things she hears. This Kansas City-based artist suffers from Synesthesia, which is a condition that causes her to see the colors when she hears musical tones. For example, when jazz music is playing she see’s blue, white, or golds, and when pop song is on the radio, it is in colors of pink and purple for her.
