]]>Yaoyao found inspiration in her dog Parker and decided to illustrate moments they share together, from walks through the forest to enjoying a great book, hoping to show the special bond between humans and dogs. This quickly turned into a real creative hobby for the LA-based artist, as her heartwarming illustration quickly became popular on social media among animal lovers.
“Parker is my son, and I love him so, so much” – she told My Modern Met in a recent interview. “I think anyone who loves their dog as much as I do, understands how strong the bond is. Parker and I are really on the same wavelength. He likes to jump on me when I’m happy and consoles me when I’m upset. He really is my emotional support.”

]]>“My ideas come from many different places, mainly my dog Parker is my biggest inspiration,” she explains. “We adopted him almost four years ago and he’s been the center of our world ever since.”
Yaoyao wanted to do art for as long as she remembers. “I’ve been drawing since I could remember, but on and off, never really serious. I started doing these illustrations about a year and a half ago because I wanted to get back into drawing again.”
