]]>The founder of Inky Dog Studio describes herself as an artist who likes to explore ideas using printmaking and mixed media techniques. The process of printmaking involves transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, usually paper, but Constable enjoys experimenting with a variety of alternative techniques, such as cyanotype, anthotype, and lumen printing.
The natural beauty of Essex is Constable’s main source of inspiration, and she enjoys harnessing the beauty of the great outdoors through her body of work.
“Jane’s inspiration and ideas tend to come mainly from the trees, plants, and living creatures that populate the green spaces around her home. Spurred on by the global climate crisis, Jane feels increasingly motivated to make art that will help raise awareness and reconnect people to the nature that we all share the planet with,” she writes on her official website.
In addition to sharing her work on social media, Constable also published a book titled Nature Imprinted, in the hope she can help other aspiring printmakers master the basics of this art form and create their own nature-themed designs.

]]>Oefner recently presented a new series of artworks called Volumen in which he set out to explore the boundaries of painting. Each piece is presented in the form of a resin cubicle that captures vibrant brushstrokes.
According to Oefner, he was trying to embrace the physicality of paint and transform its two-dimensional nature by lifting it into a 3D realm. His aim was to get viewers to reconsider the paint’s form and medium.
“I have always been fascinated by the textural quality of paintings. For me, experiencing works like de Kooning’s Door to the River or Pollock’s Lavender Mist has always been as much a tactile experience as a visual one. These paintings are almost like sculptures to me. What I am doing is removing the canvas entirely and lifting the paint into space, making its physicality completely tangible,” Oefner explained in an artist statement shared on his website.

]]>Expectations were running high for Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue, and he managed to exceed them with hilarious jokes about everyone from Karla Sofía Gascón and Timothée Chalamet to Anora and The Substance.
Conan had the time of his life joking around with Adam Sandler, who made an unexpected cameo in a pretty memorable outfit – an Aviator Nation hoodie and basketball shorts.
Anora won five awards at this year’s Oscars, and some internet users celebrated its big victory by sharing clips from the film, while others felt some of the awards weren’t deserved, especially best original screenplay.
The red carpet at the Oscars was one for the books, and Timothée Chalamet immediately went viral thanks to his yellow butter Givenchy suit.
The songwriters of “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez went viral for all the wrong reasons. Oscar viewers weren’t too impressed to hear them break into a song during the acceptance speech for best original song.

]]>Through her studio Bear&Bean, named after her cats Bear and Bean, Barnes creates adorable embroidered pet portrait patches. Pet owners can place a patch on their bag or piece of clothing and feel like their beloved pet is always there, watching them.
Best of all, these patches feature stick-on backing, meaning you can place them on any fabric without stitching. Barnes also embroiders the patches directly on pieces of clothing if her customers prefer that.
While Barnes has been passionate about animals and art for as long as she can remember, she started creating embroidered pet portrait patches almost by accident.
Her husband was cleaning out his closet and didn’t know what to do with one collared shirt he didn’t wear anymore. Barnes decided to stitch a pair of kittens on the collars and share it with social media. It wasn’t long before people started asking if she could do their pets on collars as well and she hasn’t looked back since.
Just one glance at Barnes’ previous creations and it becomes clear how much effort she invests into these patches. They are masterfully created and strikingly resemble the pets they are based on. Check out more of them below.

]]>Cyd launched her sustainable apparel brand in 2020, and she saved over 3,000 pairs of jeans destined for a landfill in years to come. Her brand Cydsline is dedicated to crafting timeless accessories from recycled materials, and there’s a reason why she decided to focus on working with denim.
“With one million pairs of jeans thrown away each year, I wanted to build a fashion brand that was part of the solution, not the problem. Denim is such an amazing material to upcycle and give a second life,” she explained on Instagram.
Most of Cyd’s designs take the shape of handbags, and they’re made of many different types of denim. She also enjoys making cross-body bags and larger tote bags.
Cyd started Cydsline because she wanted to show that fashion doesn’t have to cost the Earth, and she eventually quit her corporate job to run her eco-friendly brand full-time. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but she has come a long way and even met King Charles while exhibiting her bags at one of the local markets in London.

]]>Most of Doras’ murals can be found on the walls of Montreal’s buildings or sometimes on the city’s streets. They brighten up the grey urban surroundings and captivate passersby. If you come across one, you’ll instantly know it is one of his works thanks to its large scale and unique and recognizable style.
His works are colorful and give off a dream-like atmosphere. Doras packs them with ornaments and iconography while using contemporary fantasy as a source of inspiration. ]]>The Artful Possum is the alter ego of the British embroidery artist Emily, who’s come a long way since kicking off her embroidery journey in 2021. She’s completely self-taught, and one of her favorite things about embroidery is that anyone can get into it and learn the basics at their own pace.
Emily had a pretty clear vision for her embroidery creations from the get-go, and the name of her brand perfectly captures what her art is all about. Opossums are her most common subjects, but we’ve seen many other animals grace her adorable hoops, including foxes, rabbits, mice, and otters.
Since Emily’s hoops take countless hours to finish, her embroidery is not for sale, but her fans can buy stickers, hoodies, shirts, tote bags, and other products inspired by her art. She’s also using her platform to inspire other people to get into embroidery by selling patterns and tutorials inspired by her most iconic designs on her Etsy page.

]]>However, the job of convincing their kid that Santa exists has been a lot more challenging for a dad named Kris Tapley. In a now-viral post on X (former Twitter), Tapley shared how his son has denied that Santa exists for a few years.
Tapley wasn’t ready to spoil his son’s Santa Claus experience, so he went to great lengths to prove him otherwise. This included setting up a camera to record the Christmas tree at his son’s request and then editing the footage.
The video Tapley attached to the post shows a table with milk and cookies and a Christmas tree in the background. As soon as the door opens and Santa “walks in,” the video turns to static. Once the image clears, the milk and cookies are eaten, the presents have been left, and Santa is walking away with his signature “Ho ho ho.”
“My kid has been denying Santa Claus for a few years now but I just haven’t had the heart to give in. He probably thinks I’m insane by this point. Anyway, to shut me up, he insisted on setting up a camera last night. BUT HE DIDN’T COUNT ON DADDY’S FILM DEGREE, “Tapley wrote in the caption of the post that has been viewed close to seven million times since being shared on Christmas Day.
