There is so much to unpack, explore, and comprehend that you could spend hours watching them without getting bored or feeling you’ve explored everything.
According to Jacob, each one of her paintings is, in some way, an expression of her love for the natural world. Through her works, she aims to capture the “beauty of nature’s evolution” and “the continual cycle of life, death, and rebirth.”
These floral paintings are not just a manifestation of Jacob’s love for nature, but they also have a deep personal meaning for her, being “infused with the rich memories of her childhood, of long evening walks with her grandfather, the scent of orange Champakam and Jasmine flowers at train stations, watching her mother tend to her garden spending a lot of time out in nature.”

]]>Action Comics #1 was originally released in 1938 and marked the beginning of the superhero genre. It is considered the most coveted comic book among collectors due to its rarity and the fact that it is the first time Superman, created by writers Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, was unveiled to the world. Several other notable characters appear in the comic, including Superman’s love interest, Lois Lane, and the magician superhero Zatara.
It is estimated that 200,000 copies of Action Comics #1 were printed, with only around 100 remaining. The one sold by Heritage Auctions was notable for being in exceptionally good condition. It received a CGC grade of 8.5, the third-biggest grade given to an unrestored version. There are two copies graded 9.0, which are in the hands of a private collector.
Even the lower-graded copies of Action Comics #1 have been known to fetch significant amounts of money. Just last year, a buyer paid $3.56 million for a copy graded 6.0.

]]>Humano’s early beginnings saw him be part of the street art scene, where he became recognizable for baroque street artworks inspired by ornaments originating from cultures from around the world. Looking for a new way to express himself creatively, Humano started painting women on traditional rugs and carpets while keeping his recognizable style.
By making women the centerpiece of his artworks, Humano wants to pay respect to their role in creating the carpets that serve as his canvas. Women are often the main force behind creating carpets in many cultures, including making the wool from scratch, designing the patterns of the carpet, and lastly, crafting them.
According to Humano, his works aim to “question our cultural identity in an unrelenting system that pushes for uniformity in contemporary mass culture.”
“They reflect an amazing way to pay homage to diversity in human cultures, claiming that uniformity is detrimental to our history and memory,“ Humano explains on his website.
Humano’s carpet paintings have been exhibited around the world in recent years, and the artist also shares his newest works on social media.
