]]>These ruby slippers, one of several pairs used in the movie, are currently up for auction organized by Heritage Auction. The highest bid at the moment is $1.15 million.
No one knows how many pairs of ruby slippers were made for the movie, but four are known to have survived. One of them surfaced at an auction in 2011 and was sold for $510,000. The one sold by Heritage Auction belongs to famous memorabilia collector Michael Shaw and comes with an interesting story.
Shaw loaned the ruby slippers to the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, back in 2005, only for someone to break the display case and steal them shortly after. It wasn’t until 2018 that the pair was recovered by the FBI. Apparently, the thief believed they were adorned with real jewels.
“One cannot find anything more desirable in this field than these prized Ruby Slippers. They are alive in the hearts of hundreds of millions of people around the world and will be the centerpiece of any collection,” Heritage Auctions stated in the listing.

]]>In order to make people excited about Gladiator 2 and draw them to the cinema, Paramount came up with a limited popcorn bucket that gives moviegoers a Colosseum—a legendary arena for gladiator fights—in their laps.
The popcorn bucket, dubbed as AR-ENA Popcorn Bucket, is designed to be a miniature replica of the real Colosseum, with all of its stunning decorations and architectural elements included. But this is just the beginning.
Once you eat the popcorn, you will reveal a QR code on the “arena” floor. After scanning the code, you will be able to launch a virtual gladiator fight powered by augmented reality (AR).
The AR-ENA Popcorn Bucket is making its debut on the opening weekend and will be available in limited quantity. Gladiator 2, the sequel to Ridley Scott’s epic from 2000, will come to US cinemas on November 22.
Besides the AR-ENA Popcorn Bucket, Gladiator 2 fans will also be able to pick up a popcorn bucket and keychain in the shape of a gladiator helmet and a “gladiator cup.”

Nostalgia played a big role in helping Nobody Wants This, starting with its leading man, Adam Brody. Many felt that his character Noah is basically the adult version of Seth Cohen, raving about finally getting a romantic male lead who’s actually a good person. His nickname “Hot Rabbi” also made it to many viral tweets, drawing comparisons to “Hot Priest” from Fleabag played by Andrew Scott.

]]>Carlee is a talented animator and 3D artist, who attracted over 270,000 followers to his Instagram page after he started working on his viral LEGO clips. He mostly uses Photoshop and Procreate to design textures, torsos, and faces of his LEGO characters, before using his favorite software Blender to animate them.
Translating live-action scenes into LEGO hasn’t been easy, but Carlee sees it as a great training ground for real animation.
“[Animating in LEGO] is still tedious and it takes time, but it takes a lot longer to animate humanoid characters because there’s so many extra joints to be mindful of, and things can seem wrong if you do one motion that’s stiff. But with LEGO, everything is already stiff and it’s such a limit,” he told IndieWire.
Carlee attracted millions of views with his LEGO version of memorable scenes from New Girl, Parks and Recreation, and Fleabag, but we’ve also seen him pay homage to such iconic shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Veep, and Arrested Development.
