Oscar-winning animation director Kunio Katō and producers Toshio Suzuki and Tomohiko Ishii created this short but adorable anime-style advert for Japanese convenience store chain Lawson. It’s only 15 seconds long, but it’s packed with cute characters and scenes that depict a common day at their store.

The parody revolves around the reality of children’s winter clothes and what they can do to the families. Although winter sweaters and tiny boots look adorable on holiday photos, the reality behind all that beauty is something we can all relate to.

Covering all the age groups, from babies in onesies that have too many buttons to older kids who don’t have the patience to wear uncomfortable shoes or itchy sweaters, the commercial will make you laugh and possibly make you want to cry.

“Look, we know it’s awful for them and for you, but one day they’ll be too old to wear cute little clothes like this and you’ll miss it. So suck it up and get down to Macy’s. The clothes they’ll hate create the memories you’ll love,” the video concludes. This is easily one of the best holiday-related videos we’ve seen recently!

In the Xfinity ad that premiered on Thanksgiving Day, we see E.T. reuniting with now 37-year-old Elliot and his family. Elliot is now a grown-up with a family of his own, and his children are seeing the funny-looking alien for the first time. “After 37 years, E.T. comes back to visit his friend, Elliott, for the holidays. During his stay, E.T. learns that Elliott now has a family of his own and that technology has completely changed on Earth since his last visit,” the video description reads.
