]]> As most pet parents probably know, pet adoption is a journey that can lead to all sorts of unexpected places. Some adopt a tiny puppy and end up raising a huge dog, or that active, playful one-year-old husky turns out to be a total couch potato. Still, very few pets have surprised their owners like Ester the Wonder Pig.

Ester was adopted by her parents, Steve and Derek, in 2012. Back then she was a tiny baby pig, weighing in at 4 pounds. When Steve and Derek met her, they were told that she was a “micro pig,” that would always remain small.

Miniature pigs are incredibly popular as pets these days. Domesticated pigs are smart, social animals, that love their packs and enjoy spending time with humans. Some miniature pig breeds are about the size of a medium-sized dog, which makes them perfect as pets in small, crowded city apartments.

 Sadly, there are a lot of scammers in the pig adoption business, and some adopters unknowingly adopt babies of full-sized pigs. And that’s exactly what Ester was. In the next two years, Ester grew and grew, reaching 600 pounds! And that’s where the story gets heartwarming – most adopters, upon realizing their mistake, find a new home for the pigs, or even abandon them!

Steve and Derek had other plans. They weren’t willing to say goodbye to Ester – so they sold their house and bought a farm outside the city so that Ester could stay with them forever! Are they the BEST pig parents ever, or what?

His work has been exhibited in galleries all around the world, from Mexico, and Spain to Germany, US, Canada and many other countries. He also shares his work on his social media, Instagram and Facebook where he has gained a total of 874 thousand followers.

Estaba fotografiando a jerezanito en el mar de isla blanca Cancún , cuando de repente se escapó , en lo que su dueño corrió a buscarlo comenzó a caer el atardecer del lado de la Laguna , salí corriendo hacia la Laguna esperando que llegara jerezanito pero no llego , de cualquier manera tomé la foto del atardecer , en ese momento se me vino esta imagen tal cual a la mente , corrí de regreso al mar para hacer un barrido (larga exposición con movimiento de cámara en dirección horizontal ) del mar y la arena .. utilizaría el atardecer de la Laguna , con el barrido Del Mar ..solo faltaba la silueta de jerezanito , cuando apareció quedaba muy poca luz , pero como solo necesitaba la silueta no importaba , el comenzó a caminar y tome cientos de fotos, al final las 3 fotos de este armado fueron tomadas en un lapso de 10 minutos corriendo de un lugar a otro . cuando me despedí de su dueño el me dijo que era una pena que no habría logrado una buena foto , le contesté, si la logré , la tengo en mi mente , solo la tengo que armar .. no era lo que tenia planeado pero así fue como hice esta foto que se llama “Whisper” (susurro) espero que la disfruten ! Abrazo gigante !

Cuando te enamoras tanto de un lugar , haces todo por sentirte merecedor de el , de tener la posibilidad de hacer tu mejor representación , y aunque aprecio muchísimo a los que me mencionan que siempre estoy ahí en el momento justo , ojalá y fuera cierto , en este cenote pase un año y medio fotografiándolo de amanecer a atardecer , estudiando como el sol le pegaba a cada flor en diferentes momentos del día y del año .. plasmar en una sola imagen todo lo que viví fotografiando este lugar es imposible , diario con mi tanque y mi cámara ahí a los primeros rayos del sol deseando lograr esa toma , cuidando a detalle mi flotabilidad para no lastimar ni una sola flor .Justo una semana antes de dejar tulum para emprender mi viaje por gran parte del país , el cenote Actun-Ha me regalo esta foto , un cenote inmenso donde encontré mi toma en este grupo de flores que se alinearon perfectas para ser acariciadas por los primeros rayos de luz al amanecer , y aunque seguramente deje pendientes tomas en ese hermoso lugar ,por ahora les comparto mi mejor intento en este año y medio que pase ahí .La foto se llama “Awakening” (despertar) espero que la disfruten , un abrazo !!

]]> Hugo and Ursula share a home in London and also an Instagram feed. Ursula Daphne Aitchison is a photographer who’s found her best friend in this beautiful golden retriever named Hugo. They enjoy wearing matching outfits and taking photos in them for their Instagram followers.

When their outfits don’t match, Hugo strikes a human pose for one of his awesome photos. Thanks to Hugo, Ursula has specialized as a dog photographer and today runs her Phodography business. She says: “Phodography was inspired by my late great Uncle and painter Craigie Aitchison and his beloved Bedlington Terriers who were always by his side and in his work. It gives me great joy to capture the incredible bond people have with their dogs, each relationship is entirely unique and yet when expressed in a photograph it is one that we all know.”
