]]>Brickit is an artificial intelligence-powered app that helps you make new creations with old LEGOs. With the help of your smartphone camera, the app scans the entire pile of LEGO pieces you have at your disposal and identifies them. Then, it provides several ideas on how to use your bricks with detailed instructions.
“We love building, and we love tech, so we made Brickit — an app that scans jumbles of bricks and helps you turn them into starships, dragonflies, pineapples wearing sunglasses, and whatever else you can imagine,” the developers state.
The basic version of the Brickit app is free and available on iOS and Android smartphones. It can recognize around 100 most common LEGO bricks and comes with a database of more than 2,000 ideas. There is also a premium version that can recognize more than 1,600 different types of LEGO pieces.

]]>Artist Sean Kenney uses LEGOs as the main material for his large-scale animal sculptures. From zebras and eagles to insects and sea creatures, Kenney manages to craft a realistic depiction of animals from every corner of the animal world by using only small plastic bricks.
According to Kenney, LEGOs have been his fascination since a young age. This fascination persisted even when he grew up, with the only difference being that his creations became more sophisticated.
But even as his approach changed and his projects took months to complete, building LEGO models never stopped affording him the same kind of fun.
“As an art medium, it’s wonderful to see people’s reactions to what I create. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen someone look at my work and frown,” Kenney said in a recent interview with deMilked. “The LEGO makes it inherently whimsical, which I love. Art doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.”

]]>The video below shows the creation of a Lego pizza. You can see the onions being chopped, the pepperoni sliced, and all the ingredients placed on top of the dough, before finally adding the cheese. But as real as the preparation may look, all the ingredients are actually Lego blocks and photographs. How impressive is that?
“I made it with 3,300 pictures,” the video description reads. “Thanks for watching! Please leave a like if you enjoyed and tell me what you think in the comments! Thanks.”

]]>Italian photographer Daniele Sala is passionate about different kinds of photography. Lately, she’s been focused on creating micro worlds inhabited by lego people in various situations. She calls the project Point of View.
She started doing it without any special preparation. The starting idea was to reproduce famous photos, but along the way, she switched to scenes from daily life.
It’s still just an experiment that could potentially grow bigger, so if you like it, follow Sala on Instagram for support. It’s really true that lego never gets old, even when you’re not a kid anymore.
