]]>This team of designers from Peleg Design decided to make our lives a bit easier, cuter, and more fun when it comes to the everyday operations we handle. They created such simple products, you won’t believe someone even thought of them!
For example, you can use Egguins to boil, store and serve eggs in penguin bellies, or use Daisy to avoid the pain of the unsuccessful egg separation. Fold your napkins like flowers, place your flowers in weird places around the house, or cut your strawberries in the shape of a heart.
Peleg Design is an eight-member design studio whose mission is to create home and office products that revolve around three principles: aesthetics, humor, and functionality. They often rely on optical illusions to create a new view of a regular object.

]]>The answer is – yes! To solve the problem of dying plants, a group of creatives designed Lua, a smart planter with a LED display that shows how the plant “feels” and its essential needs at the moment.
To do that, Lua displays 15 different super-cute real-time animations. Lua’s ‘face’ will tell you if the plant is thirsty or feeling sick from too much water, if it needs more sunlight (let it sit in the dark for too long and it becomes a vampire!), or less sunlight, if it’s cold (Lua will sneeze if the temperature drops) or too hot. Six of the animations are directly related to your plant’s health, while the other nine, such as winking, sticking the tongue out and being grumpy, are meant to entertain.
If all the needs are satisfied, Lua will display her happy face and brighten up your living room! How cool is that?

]]>But thanks to a new brilliant company which makes smart food containers that will warn you when the food reaches its expiry date, the unpleasant experience of throwing away what used to be perfectly good food is a thing of the past.
Ovie Smarterware is the world’s first smart food storage system that will make you ditch old zip bags and plastic containers. Mind you, these are much more than just plain food containers – the product comes with multiple accessories and Smart Tags that will help you package any type of food. Plastic bag closing clips are also available, along with a Universal Connect that can be put onto every type of material, including glass.
The Smart Tag is removable and waterproof and you can easily connect it to your smartphone. It displays three different colors, each of them representing a different condition of the food. If it lights green, it means that the food is freshly tagged, if it’s yellow you can still eat it but don’t wait too long, and when it turns red it means it’s time to say goodbye!
