]]>Recently, a Facebook page dedicated to Game of Thrones joined the bandwagon and a fan used the new “gender swap” filter on the cast, transforming some of the characters of the HBO series into their gender-bent versions.
From Jon/Joan Snow to Sansa/Samson Stark, you can see entirely different versions, some are hilarious, but others like Jon Snow ended up to become a very gorgeous woman. Take a look below.

]]>During the victory party scene, fans spotted a modern Starbucks-like coffee cup in front of the table where Daenerys Targaryen was seated. Thanks to the banquet hall lighting, you didn’t have to be a three-eyed raven to see this coffee cup.
Despite the great attention to detail the production designers and crew put into every episode, it appears someone needs coffee that day and probably the staff was so worn out he/she forgot to put away the cup before they shot the scene.
HBO has responded to the viral post stating that “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.” It turns out they still got Daenerys’ order wrong.
Despite the chaos, fans are having some fun with this post..

]]>The network acknowledged the blunder after fans freaked out when they saw the cup on a table in front of Daenerys Targaryen. “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea,” HBO said in a statement.
“I can’t believe it,” executive producer Bernadette Caulfield told WYNC. “Our on-set prop people and decorators are so on it one thousand percent. I just honestly can’t, I’m like, is that really? Because nowadays you can’t believe what you see because people can put things into a photo that really doesn’t exist. But I guess maybe it was there, I’m not sure. But, yeah. We’re sorry!”
Now, the streaming version of the GOT episode available on HBO Now and HBO Go had removed the coffee cup from the scene. According to Variety, a rep for HBO confirmed that it was already deleted and the future airings of the episode would be the updated version.
As usual, fans have responded to the latest update. Scroll down to see the hilarious comments.

]]>The post GoT Cast Hosts a Hotline to Help Confused Fans appeared first on PlayJunkie.
]]>The popular talk show recently hosted the Game of Thrones cast for a hilarious skit called “Game of Phones.” The skit had Sophie Turner, John Bradley, Maisie Williams, and other GoT stars hosting a hotline to help the confused fans of the show for just “$2.99 a minute.” The raven deliveries were a bit pricier, starting at $5.99.
“Who poisoned King Joffrey?” one fan asked Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the show.
“No one did. It turned out to be a bad clam,” Turner responded before giving the fan a tip on how to check out if the clam is alive before cooking.
So, how did the GoT cast ended up working the hotline? Well, it turns out they didn’t read their contracts properly, as there was a “small but diabolical” clause in them that requires each cast member to work Game of Phones for 20 hours a week. Also, they have to mow George R. R. Martin’s lawn free of charge. If you ask us, they should really think about changing their agents.
Check out this hilarious skit in the videos below.

]]>The post GoT’s Latest Episode, Brightens Up So Fans Can See the Details They’ve Missed appeared first on PlayJunkie.
]]>So some fans of the HBO series decided to brighten up critical scenes to show how epic the war was. Youtube account Hivemind really did an excellent job in not only brightening up the scenes but also comparing it to the original version side by side, to highlight the changes in the viewing experience.
The Battle Of Winterfell wanted to convey about the horrors of war and how it can be difficult to see your enemies. The Night King attacked at night and he brought a snowstorm with him, so the show’s decision to go all natural was understandable.
Fabian Wagner, the cinematographer for the latest episode has also explained the reason behind the dark setting.
“The showrunners decided that this had to be a dark episode. We’d seen so many battle scenes over the years – to make it truly impactful and to care for the characters, you have to find a unique way of portraying the story … Another look would have been wrong. Everything we wanted people to see is there … Personally, I don’t have to always see what’s going on because it’s more about the emotional impact,” he told WIRED.
“Game of Thrones is a cinematic show and therefore you have to watch it like you’re at a cinema: in a darkened room,” Wagner continued. “If you watch a night scene in a brightly-lit room then that won’t help you see the image properly.”

]]>As a fan of maps and of the HBO series, Lacerda has created a map of Westeros and it’s so detailed that you can actually mistook it as a real location on Google Maps.
Though Lacerda is a fan of the TV show, he prefers the literary version. “The world that George R. R. Martin has built over the years is so incredibly detailed and well-thought-out, some aspects of it just have to be simplified or left out altogether for the TV adaptation. Also, working with such a huge audience, a [limited] budget and deadlines make the writing for the show a lot less rich and smart compared to the original. That said, I still like the show very much and it did a great job of bringing the story to life,” he told Bored Panda.
“I’ve always loved geography and cartography, and for the past year, I’ve been creating some fantasy maps of my own. With season 8 airing, I felt inspired to try my hand at replicating this iconic map in a somewhat realistic way (as if it was seen from space), since most reconstructions of the maps in Game of Thrones go for either a simplified or traditional, vintage look.”
