An 87-year-old man from Pennsylvania named Doug Turner recently went viral for the sweetest possible reason. Turner decided to organize a party for his neighbors and hand-delivered the invites with the promise that the event would run from “4 p.m. until the cops arrive.”

Turner gained exposure on social media thanks to one of the neighbors he invited, TikTok creator Michelle Hernandez.

Hernandez, who is new to the neighborhood, initially shared the details about the invite in a video posted on TikTok in January.

The party ended up taking place on February 15, with the majority of invited people deciding to attend. It was a smashing success according to Turner.

“It was a rager, yeah,” Turner said in an interview with Today. “We started at 4 p.m. and most of the 24 people invited showed up and we just ate food and drank beer and even snuck into my whiskey stash and drank that. It was pretty wild, it lasted until midnight.”

Hernandez later shared some footage from the party on her TikTok.

The film adaptation of the popular musical Wicked, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, has been a critics’ darling and has ruled the box office since its release in November. Apparently, it has also been a hot topic during family gatherings on Christmas.

In a viral clip shared on social media, one TikTok user captured a heated debate between two family members about the connection between Wicked and alien drones.

In the video, the user can be seen trying not to laugh while two voices argue in the background.

“Are you kidding me John? A green woman sings about defying gravity and a week later there’s alien drones all over the sky? And think that’s a coincidence “one family member can be heard saying.

The “alien drones” is likely a reference to recent “mysterious” drone sightings in New Jersey that turned out to be a coincidence of commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones appearing in the sky in a larger frequency.

“It’s a metaphor, she’s defying the constraints of her society,” another responds.

“Soft disclosure, look it up,” the first person adds.

The argument not only entertained the poster but also other TikTok users, who compared the argument to the comedy Step Brothers, which stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

“Why does he kinda sound like Will Ferrell and give off Step Brothers vibes?,” one TikToker commented.

“they sound like those 2 guys in Stepbrothers,” another added.

“Is that John C Reilly? “Soft disclosure, look it up” is giving step brothers,” someone chimed in.

Students can get quite creative when it comes to making excuses and asking for extensions on their deadlines. Literature professor Morgan Hunter has heard it all, or at least she thought so until receiving an email from one student who recorded a song to ask for additional time to complete his assignment.

In a viral video shared on TikTok, Hunter showed an email from an unnamed student who explained that they had statistics exam they were unprepared for and would not be able to put enough time to complete the task for her class. They also attached a file titled “EXTENSION.”

The file was actually a song in which student the student was asking for an extension while also using the usual excuses including that their computer crashed and that their dog ate the router so they don’t have the internet.

“I swear college kids these days will do ANYTHING except write their actual essay,” Hunter shared in the video, which has more than 19 million views.

In a viral video shared on TikTok, user @plantitpholiage showcased her dad’s habit of rating and keeping track of all the movies he watched.

Apparently, @plantitpholiage’s dad enters every movie he watches in alphabetical order on an Excel sheet. Each entry contains a Rotten Tomatoes rating, dad’s rating, and “key notes” about the movie, like who starred in it. On top of that, the dad prints out an updated version of his list as a book.

Coffee Milano in Middleboro, Massachusetts, recently came up with a genius way to bring a smile to both their customers and staff. They are offering free coffee for dancing, and judging by a viral video shared on their TikTok, the customers are bringing the moves.

The clip, which received more than 8 million views, contains a compilation of the best, funniest, and weirdest dance moves that people used to score a free coffee at Coffee Milano. There is a lady doing a moonwalk, a woman doing an impression of Tony from the hit movie Saturday Night Fever, a mother and a child waltzing, and many more.

As it turns out, the Coffee Milano owner got the idea for this unique promotion from a pizza business that also rewarded their customers with free slices for dancing. He posted a sign on the door that said the customers need to dance for five seconds when they enter to get a free coffee.

“Whoever shows up and dances gets a free coffee,” cafe owner Josh Rashid told WBZ-TV.

The promotion proved to be a huge hit among regulars and those who found out about it thanks to the social media buzz. Rashid intends to keep on running the promotion once a month and reveal the exact day via Easter egg shared on social media.

Mailmen and dogs are mortal enemies, or at least they should be. One mailman named Jason has managed to win over a pupper named Piper and the way they greet each other every morning has amazed the internet.

In a viral video shared on TikTok by user @djperelman, viewers can see the mailman getting his hands through the mail slot and petting Piper. The dog not only welcomes the pets but is visibly enjoying them, moving around to ensure proper petting and wagging its tail.

“Every morning, the mailman comes to say hi to our pup. It’s her favorite time of the whole day, and she gets depressed whenever he doesn’t come,” it says in the voiceover.

The video, which was shared earlier in October, received 5.6 million views and got more than 5K comments.

“the door will produce hands to scratch me every morning. I don’t know how it works, but I don’t question it,” one TikToker tried to guess Piper’s thoughts.

Others saw it as an opportunity to make some epic pranks.

“Imagine you move house and don’t tell him. New tenants are gonna be freaked out,” another TikToker added.

After the success of the first video, @djperelman shared a couple more that show Jason and Piper’s morning petting routine.

Commuting to work is one of the toughest parts of any job. You have to get up earlier than you would like to, deal with the crowded public transportation or heavy traffic and are already tired before you even start to work. But you might feel a bit better about your commute after watching a viral video from a TikTok user named Jackson.

Jackson recently shared a clip on social media that documents his daily commute in the city of Chongqing, China. It starts with him heading down his 18-story apartment building that has no elevator to the 12th floor, which is surprisingly also a ground floor.

The TikToker then takes a subway that goes through residential buildings before arriving at the city square. But as it turns out, the square is actually 22 stories above ground.

Once he gets off from work, Jackson decides to take the bus, but it’s once again a wild ride.

Jackson’s video ended up getting more than 31 million views and 22K comments. Internet users were equal parts impressed and puzzled.

“Does Google maps work here? Do any maps work here? How do maps work here!!,” one person wrote.

“With my sense of direction I will leave home one day and never return,” another added.

Dogs are much more clever than we give them credit. A recent funny viral clip recently shared on TikTok by user Lucy Ganney is a great example of that.

In the video, Ganney’s beloved Labrador Ozzie can be seen approaching his owner with a popcorn bag in his mouth. He brought the popcorn bag from the kitchen to Ganney and exchanged it for a treat.

However, just as Ganney was getting ready to enjoy her popcorn, Ozzie decided to steal the bag, probably hoping he would get a few more treats for his delivery service.

“This room service is a scam. Delivers me some popcorn from the kitchen then steals it back after payment,” Ganney shared in the video.

Internet users were left in stitches by Ozzie’s ingenuity. The clip received 3.3 million views in just a couple of days and prompted quite a few jokes from delighted TikTokers.

“The value of the popcorn far outweighed the digestive biscuit he had to take it back sorry,” @rsthree wrote in the comments section.

“bro discovered infinite cookie hack,” @yujabingsu commented.

“He said that was a counterfeit biscuit,” @mydietdrkelp added.

A new challenge has recently taken over TikTok. Called “First to Call Back,” the challenge sees friends giving their partners a ring and then waiting to see who will get the first call back.

TikTok user @izzyy726 recently decided to try out the challenge with her friends and capture the results in a now-viral video.

The clip sees @izzyy726 and three of her friends calling their boyfriends, letting the phone ring for just a second and then abandoning the call. They then put their phones on the table and wait to see what will happen.

“Who’s man will call back first???,” @izzyy726 asked in the video while displaying the length of each relationship on the phones so the viewers can take a guess whose boyfriend will make the first call.

The woman who has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for five years was the first one to receive a call back. A woman who was in a relationship for two and a half years received a text shortly after, as did the woman in a six-and-a-half-year relationship. The video didn’t reveal how much it took for a boyfriend in the longest relationship of seven years to call back.

The video ended up quickly capturing the attention of TikTok users, who loved the playful nature of the challenge. It has been viewed 47 million times since it was posted a couple of weeks ago, and it has received 10K comments.

As it turns out, a lot of TikTokers were expecting the seven-year boyfriend to be the last one to call.

“i knew it that the 7 years relationship would be last,” one user commented.

Others made light-hearted jokes about it.

“7 years ain’t calling back until 3 business days,” one person wrote.

“Relationship expired in 6 years … got it,” another added.

Have you ever thought that someone’s name sounds strangely similar to a phrase from a song? Well, you’re not the only one. There is someone on TikTok who is taking names of profiles from LinkedIn and creatively uses them to recreate popular songs.

In viral clips shared on TikTok account LinkedIn Lyrics, the users can listen to tracks like Blink 182’s “All the Small Things,” Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Otherside,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” accompanied by a slideshow of LinekdIn profiles whose names perfectly correspond to the lyrics.

After watching just a few LinkedIn Lyrics videos, it appears that no one is safe from becoming part of the profile’s next big hit. You’ll encounter profiles from entrepreneurs, CEOs, public figures, artists, and just regular people who happen to be on this business social media platform.

Now, we don’t know how people who have been subject to one of these videos feel about that. But, those who watched the videos appear to love it.

“played right to my humour I love this fyp,” one TikToker commented.

“how does this account not have millions of followers yet,” another added.

“im not gunna lie this was so impressively organized,” @plantitpholiage wrote in the caption.

The clip quickly spread on social media, receiving 6.6 million views to date. It also prompted thousands of comments by impressed TikTok users.

“the only critic ill trust,” one person commented.

“i don’t know your father but from this i can trust him with movies, i’d read this whole thing lol,” another added.

@plantitpholiage later shared several follow-up videos in which she provided more details about her dad’s list including his most and least favorite entries.

If you would like to check out more of these amusing videos, scroll down. But don’t be surprised if you see your name in one of them.
