Have you ever started watching a movie and realized halfway through that you already watched it before? Well, that is something that can’t possibly happen to one New Jersey dad.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, user @plantitpholiage showcased her dad’s habit of rating and keeping track of all the movies he watched.
Apparently, @plantitpholiage’s dad enters every movie he watches in alphabetical order on an Excel sheet. Each entry contains a Rotten Tomatoes rating, dad’s rating, and “key notes” about the movie, like who starred in it. On top of that, the dad prints out an updated version of his list as a book.
“im not gunna lie this was so impressively organized,” @plantitpholiage wrote in the caption.
The clip quickly spread on social media, receiving 6.6 million views to date. It also prompted thousands of comments by impressed TikTok users.
“the only critic ill trust,” one person commented.
“i don’t know your father but from this i can trust him with movies, i’d read this whole thing lol,” another added.
@plantitpholiage later shared several follow-up videos in which she provided more details about her dad’s list including his most and least favorite entries.
