]]>Mochi and Sumo’s owner is based in Boston, and she describes them as “two teddy bears who can’t bear to be two paws apart”. She called Mochi “polar bear” and describes Sumo as “grizzly bear”, but they actually belong to the Scottish Fold breed, best known for their folded ears that give them an owl-like look.
Mochi and Sumo were born just four days apart, and they’ve been living like kings since being adopted. Sumo is more curious and adventurous than Mochi and enjoys going for walks and playing with iPad, while Mochi enjoys playing fetch, especially at odd hours.
Both kitties are pretty photogenic, and their owners are constantly sharing photos that show them posing in all sorts of different settings. Between posing at Boston’s most popular landmarks and wearing adorable costumes, Mochi and Sumo are always ready for a photoshoot, and here are some of their most epic moments that attracted almost 200,000 followers to their page.

“Animals are a viral subject, so I like to add my own ‘flavor’ to a painting by reinterpreting them with various color palettes,” McGarrity shared in a recent interview. “I still feel like I’m getting the hang of things, so I enjoy experimenting with a wide range of stitches and techniques.”
Fiber art was something that McGarrity always appreciated, and she engaged in its various forms over the years. However, it was embroidery that ultimately captured her attention, and she has been making embroidery art for the past three years.

]]>In a video that is making rounds on social media, and was then posted by ViralHog, an adorable hamster can be seen standing on a couch and nibbling on a Cheeto. Suddenly, he is approached by the dog, who is attracted by the smell of the snack. Without thinking twice, the canine simply grabs the Cheeto from the hamster’s tiny paws and eats it.
The hamster ends up trying to make the best out of the situation by licking the remaining Cheeto dust on his paws.
While most internet users found the clip quite funny, there were some who felt sorry for the hamster and the way it lost its snack.
“The hamster seen his whole life flash before his little eye,” one user commented.
“That’s mean,” another added.
We really hope that the hamster ended up getting another Cheeto to snack on because he seemed to have enjoyed the first one a lot before it was taken from him.

]]>Bruno is a French contemporary artist that specializes in a specific kind of surrealism. He creates oil paintings and prints of contorted, distorted animals.
Bruno started painting and sketching at an early age and had always known he’d grow up to be an artist. One day, about ten years ago, he felt an urge to grab a canvass and draw. From the very start he was drawn to surrealism – he wanted to depict the madness and weirdness of the world around him with a brush and some paint.
Soon he started gravitating toward animals and developed his unique style. His purpose is to get the viewers involved in the work by questioning the reality around them. The paintings depict something very familiar and mundane – animals – but in an absurd way. By distorting something so familiar, Bruno is able to reinvent it and create something new and exciting.
And if that’s not incredible enough – Bruno is almost completely self-taught! When he decided he wanted to pursue art, he started attending workshops to work on his sketching and drawing skills. But other than that – he did everything on his own. To get better at oil painting, his preferred medium, he used books and looked at famous oil paintings in museums. It took him a while to get really good, but today his art is as well-made as it is interesting and weird.

After the video spread on social media, The Dodo contacted Araujo to learn more about the background of the story.
According to Araujo, he and Tarcisio were hanging out at a bar near their apartment when they noticed a cat they thought was Kush. Worried that the cat might get lost, Tarcisio picked it up and headed back home.
Araujo was the first one to enter the apartment and figured out that Kush was already there. He quickly took out his phone and started recording, recognizing the comic nature of the situation.
After realizing there had been a mix-up, Tarcisio took the cat back onto the street. It turns out that Kush’s look-alike belongs to their neighbors, who are more than happy to let the cat explore a bit, considering they live in a gated community.

]]>Artist Sean Kenney uses LEGOs as the main material for his large-scale animal sculptures. From zebras and eagles to insects and sea creatures, Kenney manages to craft a realistic depiction of animals from every corner of the animal world by using only small plastic bricks.
According to Kenney, LEGOs have been his fascination since a young age. This fascination persisted even when he grew up, with the only difference being that his creations became more sophisticated.
But even as his approach changed and his projects took months to complete, building LEGO models never stopped affording him the same kind of fun.
“As an art medium, it’s wonderful to see people’s reactions to what I create. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen someone look at my work and frown,” Kenney said in a recent interview with deMilked. “The LEGO makes it inherently whimsical, which I love. Art doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.”

]]>In the clip, Leigh’s cat Theo can be seen standing on a fridge and observing a fly that is resting on one of the cupboards. Theo decides it is risky to attack the fly from his current position, so he changes his strategy. But that turns out even worse for him.
After making his way down to the ground, Theo tries to get closer to the fly by jumping on the washing machine. However, he doesn’t realize that the washer is open and ends up falling into it, prompting Leigh to burst into laughter.
Fortunately, Theo was completely fine after the incident and “still ended up catching the fly,” according to his owner.
The video ended up spreading on social media, garnering 1.5 million views and earning Theo a status of an internet star. This prompted Leigh to share a second video in which her energetic cat is doing other daring stunts. Check it out below and marvel at his fearlessness.

]]>In the clip, shared by Twitter user @Dbelldb1, a group of students is shown rescuing a dog that fell into the Ancoats Canal. Not being able to reach the dog any other way, 20-year-old Ben Camphor leaned over the wall while his friends held onto his legs. They then lowered him down until he managed to grab the dog’s collar.
Camphor embraced the dog into his arms while the rest of the group pulled him back up. After the rescue mission ended successfully, the students received a round of applause from the crowd that watched the whole thing unfold.
The Daily Mail later caught up with Camphor, who revealed that they found out the rescued dog actually belongs to the owner of the nearby coffee shop that they often visit. He said that he didn’t hesitate to act quickly, fearing for the dog’s safety.
“Everyone was panicking. I couldn’t let that dog down and not help, so I put my jumper down and sprung into action – climbing down first,” Camphor added.

]]>Over the years, Tuna’s Instagram handle, Tuna Melts My Heart, has gained a massive following, with some 2 million fans to date (and counting!). Scrolling through his page, it’s easy to see why. But at least according to his owner, Courtney Dasher, the internet craze came as a total surprise.
In fact, when she created his account, back in 2011, she had no agenda to garner a large following. What she did recognize was that Instagram could be a catalyst to bring people joy through Tuna’s pictures. This online love would later translate into real life.
“One woman showed up to a book signing who had agoraphobia—she hadn’t left her house in years,” Dasher shared an unconventional reaction to her pup in an interview with Vice. “This woman got over her fear, just to meet Tuna!”
A true underdog, Tuna was adopted in December of 2010 at a Farmers Market in LA when he was a four-month-old puppy. But by the end of 2012, he was well on his way to stardom. His notoriety grew on Instagram when they featured a picture of him on their personal page, unbeknownst to Dasher.
“This unconventional-looking dog is being used to bring joy and make people happy,” says the proud mother.
“There was a point where I had an interior design boutique business, as well as a 9–5 job working in a design center, along with a social life, and a dog and his Instagram,” she adds.
“I had to prioritize what was important. I felt like this was my opportunity to make a positive difference in the world, so I took a leap of faith.”
